Martha Gibbs (Nemeth) , age 87, of Janesville, WI went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at her home. She was born in Milwaukee on February 5, 1925, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Nemeth. She married Gordon Richard Gibbs in Milwaukee in August of 1942. Martha worked hard providing for her family by managing large apartment buildings and driving taxi in Milwaukee. After her children were grown, she moved to Janesville and cared for elderly in their homes, worked at the Rock County Job Center and Larson Accounting in Milton. Martha has faithfully served our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ most of her life by being the Worship leader on piano and teaching Sunday School at Christ Church in Milwaukee, helping the poor, donating to worthy causes, praying for anyone she came in contact with, being a friend and giving a hand whenever needed. This prayer Warrior will be missed by many.
Martha is survived by her children, Rich (Joan) of Crivitz, WI, Dennis (Marion Snow) of Oshkosh, WI, Martha (Tito Lopez – deceased) of Beloit, WI, Margaret (Dave Grostad) of Davenport, FL, Ken of Janesville, Conrad (Linda Walker) of Milwaukee, Angel (Terry Arneson of Janesville,  Pat ( Cindy) of Milwaukee, Scott of Janesville, Donna (Gary Snider) of La Crosse, WI, brother, Joseph (Phyllis) of Milwaukee, sister, Margaret of Milwaukee, 30 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson, many nieces and nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews, many family and friends who’s lives she has touched and her family at New Life Assembly of God. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Rose, sister Irene, sister Elizabeth, son Jo, grandson Alan and great-grandson Julian.
Funeral services will be held at Noon Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at New Life Assembly of God, 2416 N. Wright Rd., Janesville with Pastor Michael Jackson officiating. Visitation will be held at New Life Assembly of God on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until Noon. Burial will be in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, Milwaukee at a later date.
